The Dehcho Youth Energy Action Council (DYEAC) works to empower the next generation of Dehcho leaders to Ednizee “make it our own way” to champion sustainable energy solutions that honor both our land and our people, ensuring a healthier, cleaner future for all. This project will prepare youth with the knowledge and leadership to create a unified front, positioning the Dehcho as a leader in climate action and energy resilience. The DYEAC will work with local educators, elders, knowledge keepers, industry experts, and Indigenous role models to create a youth-oriented capacity building model that weaves in Dene culture and tradition. Their leadership will ensure that our energy future is sustainable and deeply rooted in cultural values, fostering a sense of pride and responsibility.
