The Arctic Drone Soccer Program is an Inuit-led youth initiative that uses drone soccer to introduce Inuit and northern youth to STEM, aviation, and drone technologies. The program blends hands-on learning, teamwork, and friendly competition to spark curiosity while building practical, future-oriented skills. Participants engage in workshops where they learn to build, code, repair, and safely operate drones while competing in drone soccer matches. This fosters technical proficiency, but also confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The program will collaborate with local Air Inuit pilots, educators, and aviation and drone industry partners that connects youth learning to real-world applications and careers. College-aged Inuit participants will be trained as facilitators, creating employment pathways that recognize and value their skills while strengthening local program delivery. The program aims to inspire continued engagement in education and cultivate the next generation of Inuit-led innovation.
