Piruqatigiit Resource Centre has created an Inuit-led alternative learning program for neurodiverse children and youth who have not been attending their assigned community schools for various reasons. Our responsive learning program is grounded in Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, hands-on learning, Inuktut revitalization, land-based learning, holistic well-being and essential life skills. This program is for youth with neurodiversities and/or misunderstood and unmet needs who have left school prematurely. Ajunngittutit works to re-engage learners and families who have stopped attending regular school. Our programming reduces barriers; creating an inclusive community for marginalized children, youth and families.
