Dear Arctic Inspiration Prize Community,
Since 2012, the Arctic Inspiration Prize has had the privilege of supporting the vision, creativity, and cultural legacies of northern people across Canada’s North. The role of our southern partners, first ArcticNet and later the Rideau Hall Foundation, was to help build the operational capacity and systems needed to support that vision at a national scale.
Guided by our Board of Trustees and team of Region Managers, that capacity-building work is now complete, and the AIP is establishing a small northern leadership and administrative team to carry the organization’s day-to-day operations forward. We are pleased to announce that Jessica Winters, AIP’s Region Manager for Nunatsiavut, has taken on the role of Acting Executive Director while we undertake a formal recruitment process for an Executive Director to provide long-term leadership for the AIP.
We extend our sincere thanks to both southern partners for the valuable and unconditional support they have provided since 2012, which made this step possible.
To our Board, regional managers, laureates, co-owners, prize partners, selection committees, ambassadors, and patrons: the AIP is entering an exciting new chapter, and we couldn’t be more energized about what lies ahead. We look forward to sharing more with you soon.
